One exclusively for Tesla’s cars and the other two for all other electric vehicles. At the same time, one of the chargers was installed in Pomer, in the new Arena One 99 Glamping, the first family glamping resort in Croatia with a total of 200 luxury tents. Also, cars are not allowed in the Arena One 99 Glamping, but movement is only possible with electric vehicles.Park Plaza Arena the first hotel in Croatia with a digital keyFree applications “PPHE Croatia” and “Arenatuurist” were launched in 2015, and due to the rebranding of the entire company, new, improved applications “AHG Hotels” and “Arena Campsites” have become this season. Free applications “PPHE Croatia”For guests of Park Plaza Histria, Park Plaza Arena, and Park Plaza Verudela came due to requests and expectations of guests to access all necessary information related to the stay via tablets and smartphones on the one hand, and the need for direct communication of the hotel with its guests on the other side. The logical next step was to expand the application, ie its functionality, to the possibility of using a mobile phone to enter hotel rooms, thus avoiding additional cards and eliminating waiting for check-in at the reception. Such an extension was just realized a year ago in the Park Plaza Arena hotel, which became the first hotel in Croatia with a digital key, and the intention is to expand this function to other hotels under the Park Plaza brand in Pula and Medulin.Further improvement and renaming of the application happened before this tourist season. The application is located on the store under the name “AHG Hotels”, and combines the complete offer of hotels and apartment houses of the Arena Hospitality Group with accommodation facilities in Pula, Medulin, Berlin, Nuremberg, Cologne and Budapest. Additional functionality of using mobile phones to enter hotel rooms is currently being implemented in the Park Plaza Nurenberg hotel, and by the end of the year they will be introduced in one hotel in Berlin.Active free guest app “Arena Turist”Had its original application in unbranded AHG facilities. Today, the “Arena Campsites” application specializing in the needs of camping guests has emerged from it. It combines the complete camping offer of AHG, including 7 campsites and the new Arena One 99 Glamping. In addition to the listed guest applications, Arena Hospuitality Group also uses application “Facility”For communication between hotel management and individual hotel departments, Arena Hospitality group has positioned itself as a leader and leading Croatian hotelier in the application of new and mobile technologies.Hotel Park Plaza Arena, Park Plaza Histria, Park Plaza Belvedere Medulin and the tourist resort Park Plaza Verudela Pula offer „mobile”Guest service. It is a state-of-the-art mobile and digital offer for the hotel industry, whereby every guest of the mentioned facilities receives a mobile device with unlimited international and local calls and internet access during their stay at no additional cost.Namely, the whole thing works in such a way that when guests check in at the reception, in rooms or apartments they will be waiting for them and will be available during their stay mobile phone at a special charging station (docking station) that offers unlimited local and international calls, free internet access, a free destination guide, speed dial calls and emergency information. This year, seven AHG hotels in Germany and Hungary were introduced for guestsIn addition to guest applications, this year we also use NFC technology in communication between guests and employees. At the Sensimar Medulin Hotel, we use NFC technology in the lobby bar and on the terrace in such a way that the guest puts his own mobile phone on a special sticker on each table, opens a menu offering drinks, and selects and sends orders to employees at the bar. Also, in the new Arena One 99 Glamping, where the traffic of motor vehicles is prohibited, and the transfer of guests to the tent is done by electric vehicles, there is a need for a special communication line between guests in glamping tents and reception, or electric vehicle driver service. A sticker is placed in each glamping tent and by pressing the mobile device on it, a signal is sent to the reception / transfer service, which sees exactly from which tent the call came and goes to pick it up…. For the end, an interesting fact is how websites www.arenaturist.com at www.arenacamps.com they achieve an impressive 8.000.000 views per year, which is a great foundation for direct booing which is increasingly in the focus of hoteliers and certainly one of the main future challenges. Its innovative way of introducing new services in its own accommodation facilities has a clear goal – to raise the quality of existing services and get even closer to its guests and enable them a better stay. Today, more than ever, it is imperative to follow all new trends in tourism and technology, and they are faster than ever. That is why if we do not keep up with the demands of the market, it will be increasingly difficult for us to catch up with the competition later.
ANAHEIM – Shohei Ohtani, home run derby participant? The Angels haven’t ruled it out.Though he’s been unable to pitch since he underwent Tommy John surgery last October, Ohtani has been a productive designated hitter since making his 2019 debut in May. Ohtani entered Sunday’s game against the Mariners batting .257 with six home runs and 22 RBIs in his first 27 games. His on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS) has risen from .625 on May 27 to .762.Ohtani’s long batting practice drives are the stuff of legend, and this might be his only major league season as a full-time hitter. Why not let him participate? “If that is something we are presented with,” Eppler said via text message, “we’ll look into it at that time.”INJURY UPDATESAs expected, Trevor Cahill was formally placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday with right elbow inflammation. Because the move is retroactive to Thursday, he is eligible to be activated in seven days. The 31-year-old right-hander said he felt tightness in the elbow in his most recent start, Monday in Chicago. He compared the severity of the pain to an incident that caused him to miss one start last year, when Cahill pitched for the Oakland A’s.“I took a rotation off, and I started back up and treated it like an all-star break I guess,” he said. “Five days off from throwing and just started throwing again and the pain was gone.”Cahill is 2-6 with a 7.18 earned-run average in 12 starts this season. He’s completed six innings just once in his last nine outings.Related Articles Angels offense breaks out to split doubleheader with Astros Angels’ Mike Trout working on his defense, thanks to Twitter Angels’ Shohei Ohtani spending downtime working in outfield “That would be something I guess he would have to decide,” Manager Brad Ausmus said Sunday. The league announced in March that it would award $1 million to the winner of this year’s derby, which will be held July 8 in Cleveland. WASHINGTON – President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney aggressively challenged the motives of congressional Democrats on Tuesday, as the House and Senate prepared to consider a war-spending bill that would order troops to be withdrawn from Iraq beginning later this year. In separate appearances that served as a prelude to an inevitable veto showdown, Bush and Cheney accused Democrats of political opportunism in forging ahead with a $124 billion measure that sets a timetable for leaving Iraq. “Instead of fashioning a bill I could sign, the Democratic leaders chose to further delay funding our troops, and they chose to make a political statement,” Bush said Tuesday morning before leaving for New York. “That’s their right. But it is wrong for our troops and it’s wrong for our country.” Cheney was even tougher as he spoke to reporters after a private weekly lunch for Republican senators. He lashed out at Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada, the Democratic leader, who delivered stinging comments of his own Monday, portraying Bush as being in denial about the war and saying Cheney had tarnished his office. “What’s most troubling about Senator Reid’s comments yesterday is his defeatism,” said Cheney. “And the timetable legislation that he is now pursuing would guarantee defeat. Maybe it is a political calculation. “It is cynical to declare that the war is lost because you believe it gives you political advantage,” Cheney said. Democrats confident Democrats, bolstered by what they see as strong public sentiment for the administration to wind down the war, were confident they could win approval of the measure in the House and in the Senate on Thursday. While acknowledging that Bush would send the bill back, they said they were determined to force him to formally reject legislation that provides more money for the military than sought by the White House but puts conditions on its use. “For the first time, the president will have to face up, will have to be accountable for this war in Iraq,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said. “And he doesn’t want to face that reality.” Reid fired back directly at Cheney on Tuesday, appearing at the same microphones just moments after the vice president. “I’m not going to get into a name-calling match with the administration’s chief attack dog,” he said. Defending the legislation up for a vote this week, he said, “We believe the troops should get every penny they need and we have put our money where our mouth is with supplemental appropriations, but we believe there must be a change of direction in the war in Iraq.” Lt. Gen. David H. Petraeus, the U.S. commander in Iraq, is scheduled to visit Capitol Hill today to ask that lawmakers allow more time for the troop increase initiated by the administration to work. Members of the House are set to hear from him in a closed briefing this afternoon just hours before the spending measure is to reach the floor. He is then scheduled to brief senators. Democrats were skeptical he would change many minds. “He’s the commander,” said Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., chairman of the Armed Services Committee. “We always know that commanders are optimistic about their policies.” Petraeus’ briefing comes in a week when war-related developments are not running in the administration’s favor. Nine U.S. soldiers were killed in Iraq on Monday and 20 others wounded. And members of the family of Pat Tillman, the professional football player and Army Ranger accidentally killed by other U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan, appeared at an emotional House hearing Tuesday and accused the Pentagon and administration of misrepresenting the circumstances of his death. Benchmarks set Under the legislation before Congress, the United States would establish benchmarks for the Iraqi government to meet to show progress in securing the country. If the president determines the Iraqis are complying, he would be directed to begin removing troops by Oct. 1, with a goal of having most combat forces out within six months. If the president concludes that the Iraqis are not making progress on the benchmarks, the pullout would begin earlier, by July. The House narrowly approved its version of the spending measure last month when it required a full withdrawal by fall of 2008 to mollify anti-war Democrats. Several House Democrats said they would support the latest version of the legislation even though the withdrawal date is now in the form of a goal. “It is the best we can do under the circumstances,” said Rep. Hank Johnson Jr., a first-term Democrat from Georgia. While Republicans have argued strongly against the Democratic-sponsored Iraq spending plan, they have put forth little resistance to the actual legislation, saying they are simply waiting for the president’s veto so lawmakers can try again to come up with a war-spending bill. Enemy would benefit Discussing the Democratic approach on “The Charlie Rose Show” taped Tuesday, Bush was asked what evidence he had that a hard withdrawal date would have a negative impact in Iraq. “Just logic,” Bush replied. “I mean, you say we start moving troops out, don’t you think an enemy is going to wait and adjust based upon an announced timetable of withdrawal?” In his criticism of Reid, Cheney noted that the Democratic leader had said the administration’s troop increase ran counter to the recommendations of the bipartisan Iraq Study Group. The study group said a surge might be advisable if commanders thought it would be useful. But Cheney failed to mention that it also recommended a withdrawal of combat units by the end of the first quarter of 2008, about the same time envisioned in the legislation. 160Want local news?Sign up for the Localist and stay informed Something went wrong.
