I was driving my two oldest daughters to school in Whittier when the quake struck. I was traveling down Magnolia Avenue when all of a sudden, the trees on both sides of the street started bending as if they were made of rubber. The car was shaking as well. Then I remembered that my youngest daughter, age 10, was home alone. When I arrived home, she was shaken and crying. She told me that she was on the toilet when the house began shaking. Quite a day for all of us. 160Want local news?Sign up for the Localist and stay informed Something went wrong. Please try again.subscribeCongratulations! You’re all set!
